You are not yourself and you never have been. You are bits and pieces of everything you’ve endured and witnessed. Are you what you’ve been eating?
Do you notice the bits and pieces of other’s thoughts and actions and how they influence and define you? Do you notice how television, newspapers, and stories shape you? If you were a robot what would your parts be made out of?
If you find yourself angry or annoyed at a friend, try to see how you are really mad at yourself. It is disturbingly easy to hand our shortcomings to those we care about.
What is, is what is. We can name things and respond with our emotions, but that doesn’t make something what we’d like it to be.
Worries are a manifestation of fear and doubt. Dismiss them as you would a rude dinner guest. Do not permit them to ruin the meal of life.
Change comes from within- we all know that. Any changes or improvements must begin with our internal dialogue. Careful what you say in there. It can, and will, be used against you.
Finding a fault or problem and identifying is only the first step towards wellness. Why do so many think it is the only step?
How are your hurting yourself today? Is it incorrect thinking again? Insisting that your opinions are truth? That your feelings are reality?
Not all layers are visible upon first inspection. This means our initial impression can not be correct.
